Important Gate Access Information

We would like to begin by expressing our sincere gratitude for your patience and understanding as we work through recent access system updates. Over the past few weeks, weโve received a high volume of inquiries from homeowners who are unable to read the numbers on their gate fobs.
To ensure that no valid devices are unintentionally removed from the system, Essex has established three options for homeowners who are experiencing this issue. Please review the following carefully to avoid any disruption to your gate access:
๐น If the Numbers on Your Fob Are Not Visible, Please Choose One of the Following Options:
Option 1: Real-Time Assistance at the Gate (Weekdays Only)
Call 972-428-2030 while you are physically at the gate between the hours of 9:00 AM โ 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
When you press your gate remote (fob), we will capture the activity in our system and secure your account based on that signal.
Option 2: After-Hours Support
If you are unable to reach the gate during business hours, please do the following:
1. When you arrive home and use your fob, note the exact date and time of use.
2. Email the following information to ๐ง access@essexhoa.com:
o Your full name
o Phone number
o Property address
o The date and time you pressed your fob
o A new personal 4-digit access code for your account
This information will allow us to identify your device and ensure your access remains uninterrupted.
Option 3: In-Person Fob Troubleshooting Event
Our Access Manager, Korie, will be onsite to assist with fob troubleshooting on:

โฐ Time: 11:00 AM โ 1:00 PM
Please bring any fobs with unreadable numbers so we can verify and associate them with your account.
โ ๏ธ Important Reminders:
โข If your fob is not currently working, we recommend replacing the batteries first. If the issue persists, a replacement fob must be purchased through your community website.
โข All unverified fobs will be permanently removed from the system on Monday, September 29, 2025.
o Any fob not verified before this date will be deleted for security purposes.
o Once deleted, we will not be able to retrieve device information or run access reports.
o Replacement fobs will cost $45 per device and must be purchased by the homeowner.
It is your responsibility to contact the Access Department prior to this deadline to ensure continued access.
๐ Personal Code Update Required
As part of the access system audit, the default personal code (0812) will be deactivated on Monday morning, September 29th, 2025.
All homeowners are strongly encouraged to set their own personal 4-digit code as soon as possible.
๐ฆ Delivery Code Update
Weโve also received questions regarding deliveries. Starting Tuesday, September 30, 2025, a unique delivery access code will be generated every 30 days. This code will be distributed to all homeowners by the Property Manager at the beginning of each month and changed regularly to maintain community security.
